black lacquerware with mother of pearl stork birds and foliage raised decorations on lid and front music box. The front latch is a goldfish shape. The box opens to a top compartment and lower area which was made to hold jewelry such as bracelets, watches and other jewelry.
The music / jewelry box is 4 1/4" high, 6 1/4" wide across and 5" deep.
Music plays perfectly. There are little scratches but other then that this piece is in good condition.
